Patients and healthcare professionals alike have raised issues about deteriorating infrastructure, long wait times, and insufficient resources.

Stories of patients being unable to receive urgent treatment due to equipment shortages or lack of space are all too common, calling into question whether the hospital can still claim to be the best. Other hospitals, such as the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi and the Tamale Teaching Hospital, have made significant strides in providing high-quality care, offering patients more options than they had in the past.

The rise of private healthcare facilities, which often provide faster and more personalized services, has also shifted the balance of power. One area where Korlebu continues to stand out is the caliber of its medical staff.
