Stanley Gordon West was born in and attended St. Paul Central High School in Minnesota.
Readers embraced his St. West told the Pioneer Press in that the St. Paul trilogy was born in when he visited Central High School and recalled his days there. We played together but also worked at chores on the ranch. Many of them became teachers because of how he had touched their lives. West began writing when he lived in Livingston, Mont.
